The band New Mexican Doom Cult first saw the light of day in the outskirts of the small town of Gävle in the far north of Sweden. A cold and lonely place, were the merciless winds blow from the Baltic Sea, making it an ideal place for what the people of the North call Långsamrock.
"From the crypt” includes some old New Mexican Doom Cult tunes that finally appear on vinyl for the first time. Not the same lineup as the current but still some nice and doomy songs about ice monsters, lost ships, sumerian demons and cannibals. That kind of stuff we know you love. Enjoy!

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this. Luke
